(NYSE:HLF) today announced the Special Committee of the Board of Directors, recently established to review a proposal received from Whitney V L.P. and its affiliates to acquire, subject to certain conditions, all of the company's outstanding common stock for $38.00 per share in cash, has retained Goldman, Sachs & Co. to serve as its financial advisor and Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP to serve as the Special Committee's legal advisor. The law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP will represent the company in these matters. Neither the company nor the Special Committee intends to comment upon or provide further updates regarding these matters until circumstances warrant.
