LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
A grant to establish a Casa Herbalife program at Po Leung Kuk in Hong Kong has been given by the Herbalife Family Foundation (HFF).
The Casa Herbalife program, created in 2005, works with existing charitable organizations around the world to help provide healthy and nutritious meals to children.
When Po Leung Kuk was established in 1878, its primary objective was to provide shelter for children and women who were abducted into Hong Kong. After 128 years of development, the scope of services has expanded significantly to include welfare, educational, recreational and cultural services. Po Leung Kuk operates 20 'houses' providing services to people from all walks of life. The Casa Herbalife program was established at Wai On Home where 169 children who are victims of domestic violence are cared for.
This is the 25th Casa Herbalife program established by HFF. Ongoing support of Po Leung Kuk and other Casa Herbalife programs is provided by Herbalife independent distributors and employees around the world. HFF is a private, non-profit organization supported by Herbalife Ltd., its independent distributors, employees, friends and families. Created in 1994 by Herbalife Founder Mark Hughes, its mission is to help children in need by offering support in overcoming life's most basic challenges, from escaping poverty, hunger and abuse to receiving adequate medical care and education. In addition to developing Casa Herbalife programs worldwide, HFF often responds to natural disasters by establishing special funds, as it did for victims of the tsunamis, earthquake and hurricanes that struck in 2004 and 2005.
