Herbalife Ltd. (NYSE:HLF) today announced that on Friday, June 22, 2007 it was added to the Russell 1000 Index which tracks the performance of 1000 U.S. companies with the largest market capitalization. The list, which is part of the larger Russell 3000, is used widely by the investment community as a barometer for the large-cap segment of U.S. equities.
The Russell 1000 accounts for approximately 92 percent of total equities traded on U.S. exchanges. The list is reconstituted annually to ensure new and growing equities are reflected.
