LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
The Sara Rose Children Foundation, Inc. received a grant from Herbalife Family Foundation's Casa Herbalife program to improve its ability to serve healthier food to children living in its new facility in Kitwe, Zambia.
In response to the growing number of orphans and abandoned children affected by the AIDS pandemic, the Sara Rose Children Foundation was created in 2005. Overall, the orphanage currently cares for over 500 children infected with HIV or orphaned by a parent with HIV who have no other place to live.
The Casa Herbalife program, created in 2005, works with existing charitable organizations around the world to help provide healthy and nutritious meals to children. This is the 29th Casa Herbalife program established by HFF, a private, non-profit organization supported by Herbalife Ltd., its independent distributors, employees, friends and families. Created in 1994 by Herbalife founder Mark Hughes, HFF's mission is helping children in need by offering support in overcoming life's most basic challenges, from escaping poverty, hunger and abuse to receiving adequate medical care and education. In addition to developing Casa Herbalife programs worldwide, HFF often responds to natural disasters by establishing special funds.
