LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Global nutrition company, Herbalife (NYSE: HLF), today announced the appointment of Pamela Jones Harbour to the newly created role of senior vice president, global member compliance and privacy, reporting to Mark Friedman, executive vice president and general counsel. Leading a global member compliance team across 91 markets, Harbour will develop and enhance policies and infrastructure that ensure effective education, training and mentoring programs for the nearly 4 million independent Herbalife members worldwide, underpinned by robust and consistent monitoring and enforcement procedures. In addition to her compliance responsibilities, Harbour will also coordinate the company’s global privacy and cyber security efforts.

About Pamela Jones Harbour
Harbour was formerly a partner at BakerHostetler, one of the nation’s largest law firms. She was Co-Leader of BakerHostetler's national Privacy and Data Protection team, with a practice focusing in the areas of privacy, data protection, and antitrust law. Previously, she was a partner at Norton Rose Fulbright, a global full service legal practice. In addition to her roles in private practice, Harbour has spent a number of years in government, serving as a Commissioner at the Federal Trade Commission from 2003-2010 and a prosecutor at the New York State Attorney General’s office for 12 years.
Harbour was selected as one of the top lawyers of 2014, chosen by her peers as one of Washington DC’s Super Lawyers. She also received the 2014 Super Lawyers excellence in practice recognition for the New York Metro area. In 2014, Harbour received the Association of Black Women Attorneys Ruth Whitehead Whaley Professional Achievement Award. She was also awarded the New York State Bar Association: Kay Crawford Murray Award for Distinguished Legal Career and Advancing the Professional Development of Women Attorneys in 2012. Harbour was the 2010 recipient of the Electronic Privacy Information Center's (EPIC) "Champion of Freedom Award" for her defense of consumer privacy as an FTC Commissioner.
Harbour holds a Juris Doctorate from Indiana University School of Law and a bachelor’s in music from Indiana University School of Music.
Harbour has been admitted to both the District of Columbia and the New York State Bars, and is a member of the Loyola University: Institute for Consumer Antitrust Studies and EPIC Advisory Boards.
