John Agwunobi is CEO and Chairman of the Board of Herbalife Nutrition, a premier global nutrition company that serves customers in 94 countries. Agwunobi is a passionate proponent of Herbalife Nutrition’s mission to improve the nutrition habits of people worldwide, strengthening our communities and providing entrepreneurs a proven business opportunity to earn a part- or full-time income. As chief executive officer, he sets the strategy for Herbalife Nutrition, overseeing all aspects of the Company’s growth and ensuring that the Company continues to be recognized worldwide as a leading nutrition company, with a keen focus on initiatives that can positively impact issues affecting global society, including obesity, healthy aging, health care costs and entrepreneurship.
Agwunobi previously served as co-president and chief health and nutrition officer, directing the Company’s nutrition philosophy. Since joining the Company in 2016, Agwunobi has worked closely with Herbalife Nutrition independent distributors and customers, ensuring that the Company continuously innovates in the areas of product development, technology, marketing and distributor sales. He also led the Herbalife Nutrition Institute, the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board, and the Herbalife Dietetic Advisory Board, and worked with the Company’s Ph.D.s and scientists to integrate nutrition science into Herbalife Nutrition products.
Agwunobi brings a wealth of experience from both the public and private sectors to his role. Most notably, in the private sector, he served as senior vice president and president of health and wellness for the world’s largest retailer, Walmart, where he led a team of over 65,000 and grew the business from $25 billion to over $30 billion. In the public sector, Agwunobi served as Florida’s Secretary of Health and later as Admiral, U.S. Public Health Services Commissioned Corps and the Assistant Secretary of Health for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In these roles, he was responsible for disease prevention and health promotion. He oversaw the Centers for Disease Control, National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the office of the U.S. Surgeon General, and numerous other public health offices and programs.
Agwunobi has a broad educational background that includes a master's in public health from Johns Hopkins University and a master's in business administration from Georgetown University. He completed his pediatric residency at Howard University and is currently a licensed physician in Florida and Maryland. He serves on numerous boards including the U.S. African Development Foundation and Bluebird Bio.
Jesus Alvarez is vice president and managing director for Mexico with responsibility for all business, strategic, sales and marketing functions across the region.
Alvarez began his career at Herbalife Nutrition in 2011 as ethics & compliance director, responsible for the implementation and enforcement of member rules and guidelines. Subsequently, Alvarez took on the additional responsibility of corporate communications, government relations and scientific affairs. Two years later Alvarez was promoted to senior director, with responsibility in leading ethics & compliance, corporate communications, government & scientific affairs and social responsibility. Immediately prior to his current role, Alvarez was vice president, sales and events.
Alvarez has over 20 years of experience in the direct selling industry, having held a number of senior roles with major companies, such as Amway, where, as general manager for Mexico, he successfully implemented an ambitious transformation initiative resulting in significant growth in the market.
Alvarez is bilingual in English and Spanish and fluent in Portuguese.
As senior vice president of finance and strategic planning, Alex Amezquita is responsible for global corporate strategy, financial planning, and analysis and pricing. Amezquita plays an integral role in helping bring the Company’s nutrition offerings to consumers, while also ensuring the proven business opportunity for distributors.
Prior to joining Herbalife Nutrition in 2017, Amezquita was senior vice president at Moelis and Company, a leading global investment bank, where he advised Fortune 500 companies on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, capital markets strategy and investor relations. Beginning in 2012, Amezquita worked extensively as a financial advisor to Herbalife Nutrition on key strategic and financial initiatives while at Moelis.
Amezquita brings over 20 years of experience to Herbalife Nutrition from his finance and engineering background. He commenced his investment banking career on Wall Street advising Fortune 100 companies while at Merrill Lynch and Centerview Partners. He began his professional career in the aerospace & defense and technology sectors. During this time, Amezquita worked as both a lead design engineer and consultant to a broad spectrum of industry leaders ranging from Northrop Grumman to Cisco Systems.
Amezquita holds an MBA in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master and Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Julia Bailey is the senior vice president, Chief Compliance Officer for Herbalife Nutrition with global responsibility for the ongoing advancement of the ethics and compliance program within the Company. She has direct oversight of the Company’s global policies and investigations, guiding the development and delivery of training, and other critical initiatives to drive ethical culture and ensure compliance with local and regional regulations worldwide.
Ms. Bailey brings over 20 years of experience in the legal and compliance fields. She has held key compliance leadership positions at industry-leading corporations such as Jacobs Engineering, Honeywell, BAE Systems and Northrop Grumman. Most recently, she served as Compliance Counsel for Jacobs Engineering, one of the largest global providers of construction engineering services, where she managed all aspects of its global ethics and compliance program.
Ms. Bailey holds a BA from Southern Methodist University, a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law, and an MBA from Georgetown University.
Kent Bradley, M.D., MPH, MBA, is Herbalife Nutrition’s Chief Health and Nutrition Officer and is responsible for directing the Company's nutrition philosophy; leading nutrition and product education; global consumer safety, as well as leading the Herbalife Nutrition Institute and the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Boards (Nutrition, Dietetic, Fitness, and Outer Nutrition).
Dr. Bradley works with Herbalife Nutrition's Ph.D.s and scientists to integrate nutrition science into the Company’s products; and with the Company’s experts to develop training and learning platforms for distributors to ensure they receive ongoing training to deliver a best-in-class customer experience tailored to each individual’s needs.
Prior to joining Herbalife Nutrition in 2018, Dr. Bradley held senior executive roles in the public and private sectors. He is the former President of Safeway Health, a health technology solution and service provider supporting total worker health strategies for large commercial clients. He also served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Safeway, a company with $44 billion in annual revenue and 185,000 employees.
Dr. Bradley serves on numerous boards, including the Board of Directors for CommonSpirit Health – one of the largest healthcare systems in the United States with revenue of over $29 billion, and the Board of Directors of Concentra Health – the largest occupational health provider in the U.S. with over 400 clinics. He is actively involved in multiple community health and wellbeing initiatives and founded Core Communities, a nonprofit supporting healthy communities, by creating compelling content that encourages conversations on important issues. He has served as a strategic advisor to multiple health technology companies with a special focus on consumer engagement.
Dr. Bradley is a retired Army Colonel, graduate of the United States Military Academy and has a master’s in public health from the University of Minnesota, an executive master’s in business administration from the University of Denver, and his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, Bethesda, Maryland. He is board certified in Public Health and Preventive Medicine and holds a certificate in Corporate Governance from INSEAD.
Jean Marie Cacciatore is the chief human resources officer responsible for the development and implementation of human resources strategy in support of Herbalife Nutrition’s overall business plan and strategic direction. This includes providing leadership in the areas of talent acquisition and development, diversity and inclusion, employee education and training, compensation and benefits, human resource information systems and succession planning.
Cacciatore joined Herbalife Nutrition in December 2006 as vice president of human resources for South America and Southeast Asia. In 2007, she assumed responsibility for international human resources, adding global responsibility for compensation in 2008, and taking on the role of senior vice president of human resources in 2011. Cacciatore assumed her current role as chief human resources officer in 2017.
Prior to joining Herbalife Nutrition, Cacciatore worked with Warner Bros., Mast Industries/The Limited Corporation, DMX Music Inc. and the Walt Disney Company. Cacciatore holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from West Virginia University.
As executive vice president and Chief Financial Officer, Bosco Chiu has global responsibility for the Company’s financial reporting, accounting, tax, and treasury functions.
Chiu has been with Herbalife Nutrition for over 24 years, holding progressive roles and responsibilities over various accounting functions, including most recently the senior vice president and principal accounting officer. With the significant growth of Herbalife Nutrition’s business over the years, he played a major role in expanding and strengthening accounting infrastructure including developing strong controllership teams, enhancing financial systems, processes and controls, implementing new accounting rules, and providing technical accounting support to significant transactions and company business initiatives.
Before joining Herbalife Nutrition, Chiu was an auditor at Price Waterhouse, a global accounting firm.
Chiu holds a bachelor degree from University of Hong Kong and a master degree from University of Wisconsin at Madison.
Stephen Conchie is senior vice president and managing director of Asia Pacific, with responsiblity for the Herbalife Nutrition business in Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, The Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Conchie’s multi-national strategic and business expertise is integral to the Company’s global focus on helping people make better nutrition and lifestyle choices.
Conchie joined Herbalife Nutrition in 2009 as regional head of Russian-speaking markets. In July 2012, the Baltics and Israel were added to his responsibilities. He oversees the development of regional strategy, marketing, sales, management of all aspects of day-to-day operations, including Member services and sales centers, supply chain management, ethics and business compliance, human resources and information technology.
Prior to joining Herbalife Nutrition, Conchie held a variety of sales and marketing roles for GlaxoSmithKline from 2000 until 2009, where he managed the company’s business in Ukraine, and in 2007 became general manager for Russia and CIS.
Conchie also worked for more than nine years in category marketing, NPD, purchasing, and retail and logistics for companies including Sainsbury’s, Safeway and Grand Met in the United Kingdom.
Conchie has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Retail Marketing from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Diploma in Marketing from the UK’s Chartered Institute of Marketing.
He is currently based in Singapore.
As president of Herbalife Nutrition, John DeSimone is committed to the Company’s purpose and unique value of helping people live healthy active lifestyles through personalized nutrition and a proven business opportunity.
DeSimone manages the Company's regional leadership, who are responsible for growing the Company's premier nutrition business and driving performance in 94 countries around the globe. In addition, DeSimone has overall responsibility for distributor-facing functions throughout the world, including marketing, promotions, sponsorships, business methods support, events and independent distributor communications.
Having joined Herbalife Nutrition in November 2007, DeSimone has held multiple strategic leadership roles. Most recently he served as co-president and chief strategic officer. Prior to which he was senior vice president, finance, followed by his eight-year tenure as the Company’s chief financial officer.
DeSimone has more than 25 years of experience in the corporate finance sector. He served as the controller, vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Rexall Sundown, Inc., a multinational manufacturer of nutritional supplements and sports nutrition products.
DeSimone formerly served on the board of trustees of the California Science Center which provides support for exhibits and education programs. He served as co-chair for the 21st annual discovery ball which raised more than 2 million dollars.
He earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration at Bryant University.
Maximo Dolman is vice president and managing director for Central and South America for Herbalife Nutrition. He is responsible for business growth, sales, operations and commercial strategy for the 17 countries of the region.
Dolman joined Herbalife Nutrition in 2013 as vice president and managing director for Venezuela and Central America, adding Colombia later. He led large initiatives such as business continuity in Venezuela, including national production, and business consolidation in Central America.
He brings over 35 years of professional experience with large multinational companies. Before joining Herbalife Nutrition, Dolman was CEO at Farmatodo Venezuela, a leading Venezuelan pharmaceutical company. Between 2009 and 2011, he was regional senior vice president at Grupo Progreso for Central America. He was previously CEO at Lafarge Venezuela and Mexico, where he started as vice president of marketing and plant manager in Venezuela.
Dolman was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and he has lived in Venezuela since 1967. He holds a degree in electronic engineering from the Universidad Simón Bolívar, Caracas, Venezuela and he currently lives in Bogotá city, Colombia.
Woody Guo is the managing director of Herbalife Nutrition in China. He has full financial responsibility and directs all business, strategy, sales and marketing functions in China. Through his leadership, the Company is able to help the people of China live healthy active lifestyles.
Guo is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry, and was most recently with the Coca-Cola Company where he held a number of leadership positions including general manager of Shanghai Shenmei Foods & Beverage, the single largest bottler of Coca-Cola in Asia. Prior, Guo served as CEO of Bakkavor, worked as a sales leader with Great Lakes and Nabisco, and spent more than a decade with Hormel in management roles, including country manager.
Guo holds a bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Ocean University and an Executive Masters of Business Administration from China Europe International Business School.
Pamela Jones Harbour leads a compliance team across 94 markets, developing and enhancing policies and infrastructure to ensure the effective education, training and mentoring programs for independent Herbalife Nutrition Members worldwide. She also leads the company's global privacy and data security efforts.
Harbour was a litigation partner in three American law firms, with a specialty area in antitrust, consumer protection and data security law, where she chaired and co-chaired privacy practices at two of the firms. She is well recognized for her knowledge of evolving areas of competition and consumer protection law, including privacy and data security issues. Harbour served as a Commissioner on the United States Federal Trade Commission from 2003 until April 2010 and as a Deputy Attorney General of the New York State Attorney General’s Office in the 1990s. As Deputy Attorney General, her duties included oversight of the Attorney General’s civil litigation division, which employed over 350 Assistant Attorneys General in seven substantive areas of law (Antitrust, Civil Rights, Charities, Consumer Frauds, Environmental Protection, Investor Protection and Real Estate Finance).
Harbour’s career experience has included frequent speaking engagements, Congressional testimony and publications relating to a wide range of industries and subject areas. She has a breadth and depth of knowledge in the energy, health care and privacy fields, as well as her understanding of global antitrust and consumer protection law. During her nearly seven years as an FTC Commissioner, Harbour was instrumental in shaping an ambitious agenda that encompassed a wide variety of competition and consumer protection issues affecting virtually every economic sector. She is recognized internationally for her leadership in the field of privacy and data security.
Harbour was selected to receive the American Bar Association’s 2019 “Spirit of Excellence Award,” recognizing the efforts and accomplishments of lawyers who work to promote a more racially and ethnically diverse legal profession. She was selected as one of the top lawyers of 2014, chosen by her peers as a “Super Lawyer” in both Washington D.C. and the New York Metro area. In 2014, Harbour also received the Association of Black Women Attorneys Ruth Whitehead Whaley Professional Achievement Award. In 2012, she was awarded the New York State Bar Association’s Kay Crawford Murray Award for distinguished legal career and advancing the professional development of women attorneys. Harbour was the 2010 recipient of the Electronic Privacy Information Center's (EPIC) "Champion of Freedom Award" for her defense of consumer privacy as an FTC Commissioner.
Thomas Harms serves as senior vice president and managing director, China and APAC for Herbalife Nutrition. He is responsible for the strategies, distributor relations and financial performance of these regions. Harms previously served as vice president of special projects. In this role, he led the core team responsible for enhancing Herbalife Nutrition’s focus on its customers, increasing new customer acquisition and customer lifetime value.
Prior to his role as vice president of special projects, Harms served as vice president of sales, marketing and business development, EMEA. During this time, he led the development of new product strategies to leverage regional opportunities and developed new technology platforms, better enabling consumer sales, strategy and insight efforts.
From 2012 to 2014, Harms served as senior vice president of worldwide marketing, where he was responsible for the Herbalife Nutrition brand and marketing function globally. Specifically, Harms oversaw brand strategy, global creative, product marketing, channel marketing, sports marketing and sponsorships, distributor training and education. Harms reorganized and refocused product marketing while developing a five-year product innovation strategy to drive new product ideation in support of the business and brand goals.
From 2001 to 2012, Harms held various sales and marketing roles at Herbalife Nutrition, both nationally and internationally.
Prior to joining Herbalife Nutrition, Harms held various roles at Allied Domecq Retailing International (ADRI), including serving as vice president, Latin America, leading the team in development of ADRI brands and sales through appropriate market and channel development. Harms holds a Master of International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management and a Bachelor of Science from University of Redlands.
Edi Hienrich is senior vice president and managing director for the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and India. He is responsible for all strategic, sales and marketing functions across these markets. In his role, Hienrich has helped the Company reach across oceans and borders to deliver its products to help people live healthy active lifestyles.
Hienrich has extensive experience at Herbalife Nutrition, developed over 25 years with the Company. He has worked around the globe, with leadership positions in South America, Asia and Eastern Europe.
Hienrich started with Herbalife Nutrition in finance and quickly rose to country and regional management, where he led operations for Eastern Europe. After serving as vice president of South America, he then moved into international development, where he was responsible for the opening of new markets including Brazil, India, Colombia and Singapore. His focus was then directed to Southeast Asia, where he developed and implemented long- and medium-term strategies to drive the region’s profitable expansion and growth. Most recently, Hienrich served as vice president of sales for the U.S. market.
Hienrich holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and a Master of Business Administration.
Alan Hoffman serves as executive vice president of global corporate affairs where he oversees the sharing of Herbalife Nutrition’s story and purpose through public policy, corporate communications, government and regulatory affairs, community relations and philanthropy. He is also responsible for the global content group, an organization charged with developing a cohesive global strategy for the Company as well as producing materials for Herbalife Nutrition’s corporate and regional teams.
Hoffman brings more than 25 years of public policy, communications and government experience to the global corporate affairs role. Most recently, he served as senior vice president for global public policy at PepsiCo, where he oversaw policy development, external relations and government affairs.
Before joining PepsiCo, Hoffman served as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Vice President of the United States and Deputy Assistant to the President of the United States, where he was responsible for the long-term planning and day-to-day operations of the Vice President's office. In this role, he provided policy, political, communications, legislative and legal advice to the Vice President, Cabinet members and administration staff. Hoffman had previously served as Chief of Staff to Senator Joe Biden from 1998 to 2003 and again from 2006 to 2008. During this second period, he also served as senior presidential campaign advisor to Senator Biden. Following the Presidential election in 2008, Hoffman also served as chief operating officer for then Vice President-elect Biden during the Presidential Transition.
Hoffman previously served as senior vice president for external relations for the University of California (“UC”), directing strategy, communications, marketing, advocacy, government relations, fundraising and community relations for the 10 campuses, five medical centers and three national labs that comprise the UC system. He also spent time as a partner at Timmons & Company, a Washington, D.C. government relations and consulting firm, and as vice president for external relations at the RAND Corporation.
Earlier in his career, Hoffman served in the Clinton White House working on health policy issues. In addition, he worked in the Department of Health and Human Services as special assistant to the assistant secretary for legislative affairs and in the Department of Justice as special counsel to the assistant attorney general for legislative affairs. He also served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Philadelphia, where he prosecuted federal crimes for the Justice Department.
Hoffman serves on the board of directors for the National Alliance to End Homelessness, the Partnership for a Drug Free America and the Herbalife Family Foundation.
A Philadelphia native, Hoffman holds a Juris Doctorate and Masters of Public Administration from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lafayette College in Easton, Pennsylvania. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife, Lizzie, son Jackson, and two dogs, Brinkley and Franklin.
Bobby Irani is the senior vice president, Principal Accounting Officer for Herbalife Nutrition. He leads the Company’s global accounting teams and functions; including external financial reporting and filings, financial consolidation of corporate entities, accounting processes, systems and operations, and oversight of the accounting functions at the Company’s global business services locations.
Mr. Irani joined Herbalife Nutrition in 2007 and prior to his current role as Principal Accounting Officer served in various accounting positions, most recently as Corporate Controller. He has been instrumental in implementing new accounting standards and providing technical accounting oversight.
Before Herbalife Nutrition, Mr. Irani held accounting related positions at companies such as NBC Universal, Qualcomm, KPMG and Arthur Andersen. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California and an Executive Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University. Mr. Irani is currently a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California.
Frank Lamberti is executive vice president of distributor and customer experience for Herbalife Nutrition. With a keen eye on helping the Company deliver on its purpose of helping people live healthy active lifestyles, he is responsible for leading a team focused on ushering in new tools to improve the distributor and customer experience. His team’s accomplishments include strengthening nutrition and product strategies, leveraging consumer and member insights and enhancing integration across all sales and marketing activities and distributor recognition events.
Prior to this role, Lamberti served as executive vice president, the Americas and worldwide marketing, working closely with distributors and their customers, and preferred members across a region that included the United States, Canada, South and Central America, and Mexico. He also served as senior vice president and managing director, North Asia, working with the market teams in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Macau and local member leaders to drive sustainable growth in the region. He also led the Company’s marketing efforts globally.
Previously, he also held worldwide responsibility for all aspects of financial planning and analysis and strategic planning including forecasting, budgeting, pricing, capital investments, new business development and real estate.
Lamberti joined Herbalife Nutrition in 2005 as vice president of financial planning and investor relations, where he established the function and held various regional finance and operations leadership roles. Globally, he has led the distributor ethics and compliance function, supporting best practices for distributor operations in more than 94 markets.
Before joining Herbalife Nutrition, Lamberti held various management roles in finance, consumer services and accounting at Sunbeam Corporation, DHL, Rexall Sundown (subsidiary of Royal Numico, NV), Precision Response Corporation and Blockbuster Entertainment Corporation.
Rob Levy is executive vice president (EVP) of Worldwide Distributor Affairs and Latin America for Herbalife Nutrition. In his role as EVP of Worldwide Distributor Affairs, he is involved in all strategies and matters that impact distributors on a worldwide basis. And, in his role as EVP of Latin America he is responsible for working with the market teams and local independent distributor leaders across South and Central America and Mexico to drive sustainable growth in the region. His leadership is vital to the consistently increasing number of people in the region who take advantage of the Company’s offerings, helping them live a healthy and active lifestyle.
Prior to this role, Levy was responsible for all distributor-facing business, sales, marketing and distributor operation functions as well as regional responsibility for a region that included Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and China.
Levy has been with Herbalife Nutrition for more than 25 years and has held a number of senior roles within the Company. Mr. Levy has run every region during his tenure with the Company and has spent time overseeing worldwide product licensing, operations in The Americas, and the new market team, playing a key role in the opening of more than 35 markets around the world.
Before joining Herbalife Nutrition, Levy was with Lear Astronics, Corp., a leading aviation company, where he was responsible for the contract and pricing groups.
As senior vice president and managing director for North America, Ibi Montesino is responsible for all business, strategic, sales and marketing functions across the region, which includes the U.S., Canada, Jamaica and the Caribbean. In her work across multiple areas of the business, Montesino has helped the Company and distributors offer healthier lifestyle choices to people in a wide range of socioeconomic conditions.
Montesino, a 20-year Herbalife Nutrition veteran, joined the Company in 1998. She began her Herbalife Nutrition career as an assistant to the vice president of personal care training. Subsequently, she became a global product marketing manager before joining the North America regional team.
During her tenure with the North America region, Montesino served in multiple capacities; first as manager of the West Coast and then director, senior director, and most recently served as vice president of sales and marketing for the U.S. Latin market.
In 2011, Poder Hispanic magazine included her in the prestigious annual list of the “Nation’s 100 Most Influential Hispanics” in the U.S.
Originally from Cuba, Montesino is bilingual in English and Spanish, and holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from National University.
Dave Pezzullo is chief operating officer (COO) for Herbalife Nutrition. His responsibilities include overseeing worldwide operations, innovation strategy, the regional finance and operations functions, information technology and infrastructure, and global security.
Prior to assuming his current position, Pezzullo served as executive vice president of worldwide operations and oversaw all aspects of developing products and bringing them to market, including supply chain, R&D, scientific affairs, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, distribution and logistics.
Pezzullo has a broad background of finance leadership roles with an emphasis on operational disciplines. He joined the company in 2004 as senior vice president of finance and chief accounting officer, overseeing accounting, tax and treasury functions in over 70 countries. He helped guide the Company through its initial public offering in 2004, as well as the early adoption of the SOX 404 regulations. Along with the chief financial officer, he was the primary liaison to the audit and compensation committees of the Company’s board of directors.
Prior to joining Herbalife Nutrition, Pezzullo was divisional vice president of finance for Royal Numico, NV, responsible for the financial integration of its U.S. subsidiaries, including Rexall Sundown, Inc. and GNC. He served as the corporate controller of Rexall prior to its acquisition by Numico.
Additionally, Pezzullo served in financial executive and management roles, including various responsibilities for accounting, tax and M&A for several large multi-nationals, including Smithfield Foods, Cookson America, and Sunbeam Corp. He started his career in the audit and tax departments of Ernst & Young LLP in Providence, Rhode Island.
Pezzullo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Bryant College and is a certified public accountant (inactive).
Mark Schissel is executive vice president of worldwide operations for Herbalife Nutrition, and he is responsible for all aspects of developing products and bringing them to market, including supply chain, R&D, scientific affairs, quality, manufacturing, distribution and logistics.
Schissel previously served as chief information officer for the Company and had responsibility for worldwide information services, strategy and operations. In this role, his focus was on ensuring that Herbalife Nutrition built, maintained and facilitated a technology infrastructure that supports the Company and its independent members globally.
Schissel joined Herbalife Nutrition in 2007 as vice president of enterprise applications, where he held responsibility for all IT matters relating to the Company’s business applications around the world.
Schissel has more than 20 years of financial management and IT leadership experience with industry leading companies such as Price Waterhouse Coopers, Value Health Inc., Oracle Corp. and EMC Corp. Prior to joining Herbalife Nutrition, Schissel served as director of information technology at EMC Corp. with responsibility for global enterprise applications.
Having joined Herbalife Nutrition in November 2019, Ms. Vetere is an experienced CIO/CTO (chief technology officer) and global executive leader whose passion is to transform companies and lead digital transformation, while creating high-performance teams. For over 25 years, she has managed IT divisions of over 20,000 people across multiple continents, having lived and worked all over the world. Her background includes CIO/CTO positions at Estée Lauder, Barclays and JPMorgan, and senior technology positions at leading companies including AIG, HP Enterprise and Lehman Brothers.
Ms. Vetere shares her commitment to community through her Board roles for professional, educational, and athletic institutions, including The Canadian Cloud Council, Longwood University, George Mason University School of Business, SWAAY Magazine, Miss Fashion Week, and Xcelocloud Inc.
She exemplifies the Company’s commitment to living a healthy, active lifestyle and has over the years, completed over 65 half and full marathons, triathlons and six 70.3-mile Ironman races. She is also one of the first females to run 55 miles across the Serengeti as part of a fundraiser for female empowerment programs.
She received her B.A. from George Mason University and is a two-time published author, speaker, and recipient of executive and technology awards, and she is known as one of the top technologists in digital transformation and global leadership.
In his role as executive vice chairman, Des Walsh is responsible for growing Herbalife Nutrition’s global business as well as developing and maintaining strong relationships with the Company's purpose-driven independent distributor leaders, who are the difference in helping customers live healthy active lifestyles.
Walsh joined Herbalife in 2004 as senior vice president, worldwide member sales, where he was responsible for sales strategy, business development, corporate events, worldwide promotions and member services. Later, he became executive vice president of worldwide operations and sales and had overall responsibility for the Company’s business operations in all Herbalife Nutrition markets around the world. More recently, Walsh was president of Herbalife Nutrition, where he had overall responsibility for member-facing functions throughout the world, including marketing, promotions, sponsorships, business methods support, events and independent distributor communications.
Walsh has extensive international business experience gained during his 35-year career in sales, marketing and executive management.
Walsh joined Herbalife from DMX Music, where he was senior vice president of the commercial division and responsible for innovative sales programs and partnerships that led to growth in new U.S. markets. Prior to DMX, he was a vice president of Disney’s Buena Vista Home Entertainment, where he played a key role in expanding the company's video business in the major markets of the world.
Walsh’s previous experience includes key management positions at MovieQuik Systems, a division of The Southland Corporation (now 7 Eleven), and Commtron Corporation, a leading consumer electronics and video distribution company.
Henry Wang is executive vice president and general counsel for Herbalife Nutrition. He is responsible for legal organizations in China and APAC, and various global legal operational and strategic issues to help position Herbalife Nutrition as the premier global nutrition company.
In addition to the legal function, Wang oversees the Member Business Practices and Compliance program, including our ongoing compliance with the Consent Order reached with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. In this role, Wang leads a global compliance team consisting of dedicated resources, as well as counsel from each regional market.
Wang joined Herbalife Nutrition from the law firm of Lee, Tran, Liang and Wang LLP. Prior to that, he was a partner at Manatt, Phelps & Philips LLP, and Reed Smith LLP. While in private practice, he successfully represented U.S. and international companies in U.S. federal and state courts on a wide array of legal issues, including, contract disputes, unfair competition laws, employment/human resources issues, trade secrets, intellectual property, and regulatory compliance. Beyond the courtroom, Wang regularly advised and counseled his global clientele on legal and strategic issues.
Wang holds a bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley and a Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School. He served on the boards of Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association, Asian Business League of Southern California, and Asian Pacific Community Fund, and has been a speaker and panelist at numerous conferences.
Dr. Zheng Qun Yi is Chairman of the Herbalife Group (China). He is responsible for all business, strategy, sales and marketing functions across China, helping the Company’s development and leading position in the field of nutrition products in China. Dr. Zheng exemplifies the Company’s innovative spirit and leads the Company’s efforts to positively impact the lives of the Chinese people, helping them live healthy active lifestyles.
A leading expert in the field of extraction and processing of natural compounds for use in food, supplements and pharmaceuticals, Dr. Zheng joined Herbalife Nutrition in 2010 as vice president in Natural Product Manufacturing. He led the Company’s “Seed to Feed” strategy in China and opened the Herbalife Innovation and Manufacturing (HIM) botanical extraction facility in 2012. In 2015, Dr. Zheng assumed responsibility for worldwide research, development and scientific affairs, overseeing botanical developments and innovations across all markets worldwide.
Dr. Zheng is a national expert on the "Thousand Talents Program" in China; standing director of China Globalization Think Tank (CCG); distinguished expert on "Hundred Talents Project" in Hunan Province; and member of the Second Academician Advisory Committee of Experts in Hunan Province.
Before joining Herbalife Nutrition, Dr. Zheng was Founder, Chairman and CEO of NatSource Chemicals Corporation, with which Herbalife Nutrition formed a joint venture to build its extraction facility in Changsha. Prior, Dr. Zheng was President and Chief Executive Officer of Pure World, Inc., a publicly traded U.S. company, and president of Kent Financial Investments and Kent Investment Holding Company. He started his career as a senior chemist at Houser Chemicals, working on natural products for anti-cancer drug research and development.
Dr. Zheng holds a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry Engineering from Hunan University of China, a bachelor's degree in chemistry, a doctorate in chemistry from the University of Colorado and a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University in New York. He is also a Distinguished Professor at Hunan University, Central South University and Hunan University of Chinese Medicine. He has published several books and has more than 20 U.S. and International patents.
